#Thank god I didn't start talking about the difference in treatment Bo-Katan and Sabine received otherwise I wouldn't have stopped writing

Let's be honest: op is unfortunately right.
They may say it's because Ezra is from the Rebels series, and not all fans know him, but I distinctly remember how people momentarily went crazy for Cobb Vanth when he was introduced in The Mandalorian. In the week following his appearance, fanart and ff were literally flocked from every corner, for a character who had 30/40 minutes of screentime (maybe). And Cobb is originally a character in a trilogy of novels, which I'm pretty sure most of his fans didn't read/know about at the time (And there's nothing wrong with that, of course).
And Cobb is just one example to show the difference in treatment Ezra is receiving. It seems to me that the only people interested in his appearance in Ahsoka are those who were already fans of him in Rebels, while those who have never followed the series are simply snubbing him?
And again: there's nothing wrong if you're a SW fan and you don't care about Ezra, but I have a feeling that if he was white he would have had a much larger fan base.
You can argue with my impressions by saying that "Din Djarin and Poe Dameron are played by Latin actors and have a very large fan base!", but... yeah, we all know that's the case only because Pedro Pascal, Oscar Isaac and their characters are constantly fetishized 😭. Sadly, because in my opinion Din and Poe are characters who deserve much more than how they are treated and perceived in the fandom (I'm speaking in general obviously, but it cannot be denied that there is a problem with how they are systematically portrayed).
So yeah, basically poc characters are ignored or fetishized and every time I think about it I want to explode. I can't thank enough the artists and writers who are bringing us joy when it comes to adult!Ezra these days. They may be few, but they are all talented and deserve a kiss
If Adult Ezra Bridger was white, the fanfic writers would've been eating this up!!

No fr!
And Eman Esfandi is actually Persian-Ecuadorean so there's this whole dynamic of paler/whiter latinos being fetishised and darker/browner latinos being snubbed (and Afro-latinos don't even get mentioned!) Ezra is part of this whole glorified 'Space Latinos' group with Pedro Pascal/Diego Luna/Oscar Isaac but there's absolute dregs of content for him.
It's not because this is his breakout role either because his coworkers who play Shin Hati, Sabine Wren and Morgan Elsbeth have 169k, 676k and 20.8k followers respectively on instagram for their breakout role while his sits at 12.8k.
Even if fans don't watch the animation, we all know who Captain Rex is. We have all heard or seen some form of content surrounding the Ghost Crew in Star Wars Rebels. Being in any Star Wars fanspace, you are exposed to both of those series' enough to know who Ezra is too, especially when looking at the example of Cobb Vanth, who I'll bet 99% of fans hadn't heard of him until The Mandalorian and his live action appearance.
(And you're so right about Sabine vs Bo-Katan but that deserves it's own post imo!!)
It's also Eman Esfandi birthday (September 27) so y'all remember to give him some love on one of his socials because he's been getting the typical response from 'fans' who say he ruined Star Wars on the official Disney Star Wars and Ahsoka accounts (🤦🏽‍♀️ they never learn)
If Adult Ezra Bridger was white, the fanfic writers would've been eating this up!!
